When all else fails, blame the actress?

Wow… there really aren’t any words. Pratt tries to cover up one of his messy stories by not knowing Eden Riegel was departing so soon.

AMC head writer Chuck Pratt blames the mess on Riegel’s exit for pilot season. “I was led to believe we had her for longer than we really did — suddenly I got word that Eden is leaving now,” he says. Meanwhile, Braun had agreed to a six-month stay, so that left her neurotic, sexually confused character dangling in the wind.

Nice Pratt… really nice… when all else fails, you make the excuse of not knowing Riegel was leaving so soon? Even viewers knew her return was short term, how could he not?

Smells like a cover-up.
